i was invited to be part of the set-up team that created a giant paper flower covered, fully functioning, guillotine! this piece was the first collaboration between artists MANDY SMITH and HAL KIRKLAND.
PAPER CUTS is an interactive paper sculpture that invites people to experience the instrument of death, head first, but with only the possibility of a paper cut, and video footage showing fascinating facial expressions!
many hours were spent slicing up paper for the piece, as well as, sorting out drinks orders, making the space into an interesting event experience, being 'door bitch' looking after the guest list, keeping an eye on the queue and flow of people allowed into the exhibition.

volunteered to help in the setup for numerous networking & social events created by S.M.PRODUCTIONS / ARTPOP.
assisted the event manager, SAMANTHA MAYNARD, so that we could be doing two things at once in different places under time pressure. checked deliveries & orders, made sure that interns did everything correctly, & was a team player in transforming an office into a party venue.
each event, with clients & guests from the advertising world had it's own distinct theme which was evident in the unique opulent food & drinks displays, room decoration styling, as well as, the layout of the existing & hire furniture.
the atmosphere was always fun & very energetic with lots of new connections made.
i was invited to be part of the set-up team that created the magical BLUE BAZAAR in amsterdam. together we transformed the industrial warehouse space of HARVEST AND COMPANY into a daytime immersive experience & by night time a twinkling candle lit, fine dinning & wine tasting atmosphere.
it was opened daily for people to wander around a moroccan style 'apartment' & tranquil blue oasis with indigo dying workshops, traditional tea ceremonies & of course to shop!
design, concept & curated by NICOLE FRANCESCA MANFRON / THE SECRET SOUK who filled a shipping container with the delights of moroccan local artisan crafts.
developed a ‘local look’ for the amsterdam franchise of the global brand MORNING GLORYVILLE; an healthy early morning rave phenomena that's taking off world wide!
as well as the graphic design, also assisted at numerous events with decoration, making banners and signage with a humorous tone of voice. was the go to person for any questions on the day of the event, and a warm and welcoming 'door bitch' checking people in, looking after cloakroom ticketing, managing payments and the guest list.
